Willis Earl Beal announces May tour dates

After a triumphant run of sold out shows this month, Willis Earl Beal is pleased to announce his return to Europe in May.

Those who caught the first run of shows will have witnessed the raw power of Beal’s outsider art. Sung over reel-to-reel loops and sparsely strummed guitar, the live renditions of first single ‘Evening’s Kiss’ and follow up ‘Take Me Away’ become urgent, vital and real. Choosing to reinterpret his sound for the live setting, and even singing some tracks completely a cappella, Beal left audiences feeling like they’d attended a congregation rather than a gig.

“Very, very special” ~ NME

Hot Charity / XL Recordings will release Beal’s debut album, ‘Acousmatic Sorcery’, on April 2nd.
