I am a big fan of both The Cure and The Inspiral Carpets but never imagined there was a great deal in common between them…until now. The attached track blends the two very nicely indeed and is the work of an NYC band called Weep. They’re headed by a guy called Doc Hammer, who’s been in and around the goth scene since the eighties, when he was just plain Eric. Last year, the band released a cracking version of the Bauhaus classic ‘The Passion Of Lovers’, which is also featured on their latest album ‘Alate’, which is their second and released at the end of August. I suggest you go find it.
