Menswe@r are back with ‘Crash 2014’ & New Dates

MENSWEAR14

Menswe@r are back, to some the punchline at the end of Britpop, to others purveyors of rather misunderstood pop gems amongst the rough. Whatever your view, as John Harris put it Menswe@r’s ridiculously quick rise and hasty dissent mirror’d the Britpop bubble itself between 1994-97. Now Menswe@r are back revived, reconvened and regenerated and whisper it quietly (according to seasoned observers of their recent live outings)much better than the original version. As such Nuisance Recordings and Post/Pop Records present ‘Crash 14’ the first Menswear single since 1996. Originally recorded as a demo and released as one of the b-sides of ‘We Love You’ back in 1996, ‘Crash’ was singer Johnny Dean’s favourite Menswear song and has now been reworked and re-recorded by Johnny with the new Menswear line up. A cheeky brave, more bombastic reworking of the orginal that shows there’s plenty of life in Menswe@r yet! Apparently it’s a transitionary release ‘a final recorded kiss to the past before moving on to…well, watch this space.’ In the meantime, if so inclined, you can listen to the song and sing it like its 1990s all over again on the dates below….

Crash 14 will be released as a download, a limited edition 500 only 7″ and a limited edition cassette on May 26th.
