Next month, Come Play With Me – a Community Interest Company set up to promote exciting musical talent from the Leeds city region – releases its 2nd such double A-side single, this time showcasing new tracks from Fizzy Blood and OFFICERS.

For their part, Fizzy Blood – a five-piece outfit formed in Leeds in January of 2014 – stay true to their name with an energised, hair-raising blast of fiery rock’n’roll. After initially lulling us into a false sense of security, ‘Sweat and Sulphur’ launches itself into full metal rock orbit propelled along its trajectory by a phalanx of heat-seeking guitars and drums and allied searing vocals.

Drawing favourable comparisons with Them Crooked Vultures, and the band’s nearer neighbours Pulled Apart By Horses and Dinosaur Pile-Up, it is a record that should ensure both Fizzy Blood and Come Play With Me’s place on the wider musical map.

‘Sweat and Sulphur‘, coupled to ‘Attack’ by OFFICERS, will be released on 19th February 2016 through Come Play With Me. It can be pre-ordered here.
