Track Of The Day #784: The Blueprints – Multiply

Side A Multiply_700x700px_RGBDon’t touch that dial, The Blueprints are back. Some 16 months after the release of their second EP – the rather wonderful The Mountaineer – the four-piece from York return with a brand spanking new double A-sided single, ‘Multiply/Circles’.

‘Multiply’ picks right up where The Mountaineer EP left off as The Blueprints take another huge step in their quest to reconstruct mid-sixties pop for the modern age. Replete with a driving rhythm and powerful, crashing guitar chords over which frontman Stu Allen’s voice positively soars, ‘Multiply’ possesses all of the unmistakable durability and joy that belongs in all great popular music songs.

‘Multiply/Circles’ is released on 30th January 2016 through Sweet Sue Records. It is available on 7” limited edition, transparent yellow vinyl. Each record comes with a digital download of both tracks plus an extra bonus track, bonus track ‘Slow Train Blues’ which is only available when you buy the vinyl.

The single is launched on the evening of the 30th of January at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds where The Blueprints will be supporting The Lottery Winners. Tickets for the event can be purchased here
