NEWS: High & Lonesome festival announces first acts for 2016

Date: 19th November 2016
Location: Leeds

Come the third Saturday in November the High & Lonesome festival will again be returning to the legendary Brudenell Social Club and the majestic Left Bank arts venue in the Hyde Park area of Leeds in what will be a repeat of last year’s triumphant event.

And the first wave of acts to be announced for the third edition of this annual festival already suggest that High & Lonesome will be even bigger and better than its two highly successful predecessors. After a three year absence the renowned Leeds post-rock miserabilists I Like Trains will once more be playing at the Brudenell. Joining them in this year’s line-up will be the Ivor Novello nominated and most celebrated of indie-folk bands The Leisure Society who will be bringing their intimate acoustic trio show to the ethereal surroundings of the former St Margaret of Antioch’s Church building at Left Bank.

Also appearing on the bill for 2016 will be Glasgow’s Three Blind Wolves, the Bristol-based artist and fast rising talent Fenne Lily, and the equally anticipated songstress Charlotte Carpenter. Expect many more exciting acts to be announced in the coming weeks and months.
