NEWS: De La Soul share new documentary ‘We’re Still Here (Now)’

Last week, hip hop legends De La Soul released their first album since 2004, And the Anonymous Nobody.  The album was self-released by the group after they raised enough funds through a Kickstarter campaign.  It features guest appearances from Little Dragon, Damon Albarn, Snoop Dogg and more, and also sees them working exclusively with a live band.  To celebrate the record’s release, the group have shared a brand new documentary on YouTube: We’re Still Here (Now)… A Documentary About Nobody.

We’re Still Here is a pretty detailed examination of how their latest album was made, from inception to creation.  Across its 33 minutes we learn about the group’s hopes and fears for the initial crowdfunding campaign, meetings with the Kobalt Group and the mixing of the LP.  There’s even some segments on the importance of hip hop on the band’s lives, as well as clips from And the Anonymous Nobody throughout.  Watch below.
