EXCLUSIVE: JINGO – ‘Gaia’ [Video Premiere]

London alt-pop band JINGO have just finished their forthcoming new album Make Some Money, Buy Some Love, out on March 11th. Funding it via a successful pre-order campaign it will be released on CD and Vinyl, shortly. We have the video premiere of their new video for the track ‘Gaia’. It’s named after Gaia who – as Wikipedia tells us – ‘is the personification of the Earth or the ancestral mother of all life’ thus ‘Gaia’ is a politically conscious song that is concerned with the current mess of the world, populist leaders making promises they can’t keep, climate change and powerful people hoarding wealth.

Spinning around singer Katie Buckett’s powerhouse vocals, her refrains “compassion can’t be bought and sold,” lighting the fuse as ‘Gaia’ throbs and swells to harmony and multi-instrumentation driven crescendos.

This record follows up from JINGO’s debut album, The Art of Loving, released in 2014, and an EP, Ghost in the Machine, released the following year. It was recorded in New York last summer by producer Kahan James, and mastered by Kevin Blackler (Raconteurs, RHCP etc.)

JINGO play at Birthdays in Dalston, London on March 11th
