Today is International Women’s Day #IWD is held every year on the 8th of March, to celebrate women’s achievements throughout history and across nations. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace.
#IWD comes at a moment in history where female equality is firmly in the spotlight as the #metoo campaign calls out abuse and the Keychange campaign seeks to gain parity for female artists on British festival bills.
