NEWS: Beck unveils new single ‘Dark Places’

Beck has shared Dark Places, a new single from his upcoming 14th studio record Hyperspace, which is set for release on November 22nd. The track follows previous singles Uneventful Days, Hyperlife and Saw Lightning and is taken from what’s said to be his most collaborative album yet. The new record will feature contributions from Sky Ferreria, Chris Martin and others as well as co-production from Pharrell Williams. He has also unveiled a new video for Hyperspace.

An Eddie Obranddirected lyric video for Dark Places has also been released. Other collaborators include super-producers Paul Epworth and Greg Kurstin, who has previously worked with the Foo Fighters, Adele, Paul McCartney and Sia and co-produced the indie-rock veteran’s previous effort, Colours. Scoring a rating of 72 on Metacritic, Colours gave the star his sixth US top ten album and a fourth UK top ten hit. Interestingly, each of his UK top tens have come since 2008, despite 1996’s Odelay spending 61 weeks on the Top 100.
