Sirom
Širom

Širom are Ana Kravanja, Iztok Koren, and Samo Kutin playing a wide variety of instruments and objects. Their music has been described by The Guardian as occasionally recalling “the junkyard compositions of Moondog, the hypnotic tuned percussion of Steve Reich, the controlled chaos of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, or the shanty-town minimalism of the Penguin Cafe Orchestraand Uncut magazine as “syncretic, working folk, medieval, drone and traditional musics into complex, intuitive improvisations …. Full of guttural incantations, circling chants, clattering percussion. A deep-breathing, ecstatic joy.”

ADRA Ensemble feature the West Yorkshire artist, writer, and musician, Andy Abbott who will be performing expanded versions of his instrumental compositions for baritone acoustic guitar with Aby Vulliamy and Dean McPhee.

Antidote is a programme of artistes that see things from a slightly different point of view, for audiences who like to challenge their understanding of live music. Each of the events in the Antidote series are curated by internationally recognised composer, musician and songwriter Aby Vulliamy and feature some of the UK’s finest musicians and performers. The performance on the 5th of March is curated by Andy Abbott.
