NEWS: Little Simz shares interactive music video for ‘Gorilla,’ announcing extra tour dates due to popular demand

Multi-Award winning London rapperLittle Simzproves her world-class credentials in her latest video, for ‘Gorilla’. Widescreen, cinematic and brimming with class and whip-smart social commentary, the video follows the announcement of her headline UK tour in the biggest venues to date, which sold out so fast that she has added extra gigs in Manchester and London.

‘Gorilla’ comes from her universally acclaimed album, NO THANK YOU out now via AWAL, described by the Telegraph as “The best UK rap album of the year.” Her latest offering coincides with the physical release of the album, which is now available on CD & Vinyl. via www.LittleSimz.com

Little Simz tapped legendary director Dave Meyers to shoot the music video for Gorilla. The standout single from the NO THANK YOU album was described by Pitchfork as a “retort against rap game bullshit,” noting that her performance was “the loosest Simz has sounded in years.” Little Simz has also partnered with Microsoft to create an interactive and truly unique experience for the viewer.

Powered by Microsoft Cloud and AI, the interactive music video combines imagery, colours and effects to compose a video that is different every time you see it. The specific details of the video are selected based on AI-assisted analysis of the song’s lyrics combined with the users’ selection of favourite lyrics and themes. Rather than distracting the audience from her sonic prose, the Azure Open AI models analyse the video’s creative layers to amplify her artistic range and message. The video will change in real-time as the user expresses interest in different parts of the song, creating a one-of-a-kind interactive way to watch a special performance of the song.  Check out the interactive ‘Gorilla’ video here:  gorilla.littlesimz.com

Fans can also take part in this immersive experience in real life as installations will be launching in New York, Los Angeles, and London.

As well as sharing the new video, Little Simz has announced that she will be playing extra dates at Manchester’s 02 Victoria Warehouse on Sunday the 5th of November and London’s Alexandra Palace on Saturday the 11th of November, added due to popular demand.

The upcoming tour dates continue Simz’ unmatched creative output over the last few years, cementing her status as a true cultural polymath.
