Manchester punks Loose Articles will release their long-awaited debut album Scream If You Wanna Go Faster in June, with lead single ‘Mr. Manager’ out now.
‘Mr. Manager’ uses hypnotic, looping guitar riffs and in your face punk attitude to comment on the experience of nightmare office managers. Commenting on the song, the band said: ‘Mr. Manager’ is a song about being stuck in the daily grind of a managerial nightmare. A job is a job until it becomes an occupational hazard!”
The group managed to write and record Scream If You Wanna Go Faster while juggling 9-5 jobs and gigging every weekend. The band said: “We blasted it out in two lots of long weekend sessions to keep the energy high and fast paced, just like our live gigs.” The end result was an “extravaganza bedazzled with big riffs, footy whistles and cowbells to keep you on your toes!”
Loose Articles will be performing live this summer. A support slot with Foo Fighters, features alongside tour support for The Lovely Eggs and a co-headline tour with CHROMA. Further dates include appearances at Hit The South, Green Man and Edinburgh Psych Fest.
