Track Of The Day #94: Public Enemy – Hoover

Hip hop – I don’t really get it to be honest. Clearly, it has its worth and it’s more about me than the genre, but it is probably the most popular one in the world and I really don’t understand why. I like Eminem and I like it when it rocks and today, for the first time, I feature some of the stuff. Public Enemy were one of the pioneers of course, with their seminal 1988 classic ‘It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back’. They’ve been bumping along on and off since then and their eleventh studio album is just out and called ‘Most Of My Heroes Still Don’t Appear On No Stamp’ (they don’t do short titles) and is really quite good, so today people I rappity rap you a track from it.
