NEWS: Association of Independent Festivals stages another event in Cardiff

AIF COngress logoThe Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) today announced that its annual flagship event, The Festival Congress, will be returning to Cardiff in November 2015.

Delivering the keynote speech at this year’s event will be BBC Radio DJ and Sŵn Festival co-founder, Huw Stephens.

Last year’s inaugural event was attended by over 400 international delegates and speakers. This year’s Festival Congress will once again take place at the Wales Millennium Centre and will feature approximately fifty industry guest speakers over the two days.

The event will feature a series of quick fire talks, presentations and roundtable discussions, with speakers from events including Isle of Wight Festival, Bestival, Kendal Calling and many more.

Festival-themed evening celebration at Cardiff University’s Great Hall on the 5th November will feature a street food festival banquet for delegates and The Festival Congress Awards.

Tickets are on-sale to AIF members from the 15th July and will then go on general sale to the wider music and festival industry from the 22nd July, with early bird tickets available up to the end of August, priced £100. For ticket details visit the AIF site.

God is in the TV is an online music and culture fanzine founded in Cardiff by the editor Bill Cummings in 2003. GIITTV Bill has developed the site with the aid of a team of sub-editors and writers from across Britain, covering a wide range of music from unsigned and independent artists to major releases.
