Video Of The Week #72: Future Get Down – Van Eck Phreaking [PREMIERE]

Edinburgh’s electronic outfit Future Get Down released their debut EP – very simply titled EP1 – on 6th April, and follow it up with the video for the opening track ‘Van Eck Phreaking’ launched today and premiered right here.

With a frantic, urgent beat, this will definitely see you on your way with a positive spring in your step towards the weekend.  And almost none of it makes any sense, but think about it, does it have to?  The screen flashes and pulses with unconnected images set to the beat of the track, and it all looks very 1980s/early ’90s (in a good way).  The more you watch it, the more mesmerising and hypnotic it gets; time to break out the glowsticks!

See Future Get Down live:

April 30th: Broadcast, Glasgow (with GNOD and White Hills)
July 1st: Kelburn Garden Party Festival, Largs
July 22nd: Bluedot Festival, Jodrell Bank Observatory
