As the latest signees to London’s Communion Records, world domination is looking immanent for Glaswegian band Three Blind Wolves.
Alongside support from Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett, ex-Cherbourg bassist Kev Jones and producer Ian Grimble, the trio supported Noah and the Whale and Glasvegas on tour in 2010, and recorded a session for Vic Galloway’s BBC Introducing show later on in the year. They’ve also received encouragement from Frightened Rabbit‘s Scott Hutchison, who declared the band “honest, raw, intelligent, melodic, [they] get the blood going from the first note. A rare and special beast indeed.”
Unsurprisingly, front man Ross Clark contributed to “Old Fashioned” on Frightened Rabbit’s Liver! Lung! FR! , giving a perfect insight into Three Blind Wolves’ musical direction. Incorporating the commercial aspect of folk with driving, Americana vocal, the band’s sound is established and refreshing.
Their debut mini album Sound of the Storm was released on March 20th. You can hear their track “Emily Rose” here.
