Today’s band are Lost In The Trees and the album “A Church That Fits Our Needs”, which came out recently. The main man is Ari Picker and the whole album is about his dear Ma, who had a pretty awful life by all accounts and topped herself as a result. The band’s self-titled debut was folk with delusions of pop; the sophomore doesn’t even want to know what pop is! As you might guess, it’s a sombre record and really quite difficult to get into; but persevere and it will absorb you. ‘This Dead Bird Is Beautiful’ is simply beautiful so, if nowt else, listen to that!
