The Postal Service announce first headline dates for ten years

The Postal Service unveil ‘never before heard’ song

So, the two UK dates sold out in 6 minutes. They added a second night in London and that sold out too. Same story in the States apart from the odd ticket in Reno and Vegas (come on Nevada, keep up). You might say that amongst the skinny jeans and oversized specs wearers (and me) excitement is at fever pitch for the imminent return of The Postal Service. To go with the live dates, Sub Pop will be releasing a special edition of the band’s one and only (some would say perfect) album ‘Give Up’. To confound the cynical, this looks well and truly worth having – fifteen bonus tracks to go with the ten originals. Of these, there’s everything they’ve ever officially released, a couple of covers by The Shins and Iron And Wine, and two BRAND NEW tracks. Here’s one of them, ‘A Tattered Line Of String’, which features Jenny Lewis who’ll be joining them on tour.
