NEWS: The soundtrack to ‘Run Lola Run’ is getting its first vinyl release

18 years after it was first released, Tom Tykwer’s German thriller Run Lola Run is finally having its soundtrack released on vinyl for the first time.  The film follows the titular character (played by Franka Potente) as she attempts to save her boyfriend Manni from his boss within 20 minutes.  The action takes place across three alternate scenarios, where how Lola chooses to act has wildly different consequences on the story.

As well as its adrenaline-fuelled action, the movie is also well known for its pulsating electronic soundtrack.  It was one of the first films to really show the power of a soundtrack filled with techno and industrial influences within an action movie, making it an iconic score.  Tykwer and the film’s composers Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil will now have the music immortalised on cherry red vinyl, echoing the protagonist’s iconic hair.

Run Lola Run OST is out on 4th November via Bella Union and is available to pre-order now.
