Grawl!x‘s new album Appendix is due out on Reckless Yes on 6th April and features contributions from Haiku Salut and TV and film composer Richard J Birkin (who composed and conducted the string arrangements). Today we premiere the affectionate and cinematic video for ‘Don’t Do It To Yourself’ a touching song that shimmers with ambient electronica, evocative piano and features Reckless Yes labelmates, Pet Crow, with the fragile vocal of Danielle Cotterill lending a comforting harmony that offers a hopeful hand to anyone considering suicide.
Appendix combines stark instrumentals with lush pop songs. There’s also an accompanying film, written and directed by Grawl!x, called Fleeting.
