NEWS: The Crescent in York announces a series of socially distanced shows

The Crescent Community Venue, an independent DIY concert and events venue in the North Yorkshire city of York, has just announced a series of a dozen live music shows that are – the absence of further Covid-19 lockdown restrictions willing – scheduled to run over the festive period.

These shows will take place at the Crescent between the 11th and 29th of December this year and feature the individual and varied talents of a number of artists including Theatre of Hate and Spear of Destiny leader, Kirk Brandon; North Yorkshire noiseniks Avalanche Party in a specially stripped-back acoustic performance; York’s self-described folk-gone-wrong band Hyde Family Jam – who will appear no less than four times – the New York Brass Band who will play two shows, matinee and evening, on the 19th of December; and local musicians Dead Bird and Wolf Solent appearing in a double-header the following night.

Given the current climate these shows will be suitably socially distanced and the Crescent is working incredibly hard to ensure that they adhere strictly to the current local and national event guidance and ensure that everyone can enjoy the experience in a safe and secure environment.

Those intending to attend any of these shows need to first familiarise themselves with the following information. And tickets for all of these shows go on sale on Friday the 13th of November and can be purchased from The Crescent website.
