It’s absolutely impossible to condense twenty years into just twenty tracks, but here is a by no means definitive list of twenty artists and tracks, that I’ve loved from over the last two decades. As well as being some of my favourites they reflect the site’s coverage and acts we have championed or promoted live over the last two decades. Some artists you will know and some artists you may never have heard of. If you asked me tomorrow it might be different. I’ve swapped and changed three or four of tracks for the last two weeks, but enough procrastination, here are my selections. There is a more comprehensive playlist here.

The Joy Formidable – Whirring

Ladytron – Destroy everything you touch

Hatchie – Sure

Shrag – Rabbit Kids

Amy Winehouse – Tears Dry on their own

Little Simz – Introvert

Camera Obscura – Lloyd I’m ready to be heartbroken

Art Brut – Emily Kane

Stella Donnelly – Boys will be boys

Lonelady – Groove it out

Frightened Rabbit – Modern Leper

The Beths – Little Death

Gwenno – Fratolish Hiang Perpeshki

Melody’s Echo Chamber – I Follow You

Adwaith -Fel i Fod

Desperate Journalist – Personality Girlfriend

Orphans and Vandals – Mysterious skin
