NEWS: Donna Blue share ‘Fantasy Girl’ track

Dutch duo Donna Blue make chic, psychedelic 60s style pop-noir, laced with uber cool, hazy romanticism. Th atmospheric new single ‘Fantasy Girl,’ out today, is the first glimpse of their bilingual (French/English) second album, Into the Realm of Love, due for release in March 2024 via Snowstar Records. Its grainy, sensual, dreamlike sonics plays out like an obsure vintage soundtrack and a modern-day siren call. “Its lyrics personify the illusive seductions of the online world, calling to you like a modern-day siren,” explain Donna Blue- “A place that is constantly inviting you to fall in love with a fantasy version of yourself, and of others.”

High profile fans include Elton John who played their music on his Beats1 Rocket Hour radio show and Gilles Peterson on 6Music. Donna Blue are musical collaborators and couple Danique van Kesteren and Bart van Dalen from the Netherlands whose music is reminiscent of Nancy & Lee, Serge Gainsbourg and Julee Cruise with inspiration drawn from film composers such as Ennio Morricone. It leads the way into the bygone world of poets, dreamers, the hazy Côte d’Azur, and old 60’s spy movies.

They have toured extensively across mainland Europe and the US, with a Paste session recorded in NYC and a showcase at SXSW with over 10 million streams on digital streaming platforms.

The upcoming album Into the Realm of Love follows the duo’s debut album Dark Roses (2022) . The March 2024 release of their upcoming album will be followed by an extensive European tour in Spring with the following dates already confirmed:
