EXCLUSIVE: Electric Retro Spectrum ‘Frontline’ Video Premiere

French music isn’t always looked upon favourably, which is a shame. The songs that generally come to mind are by lispy chanson singers or the delicate piano ballads of Yann Tiersen. Recently there has been a French revolution going on with the likes of Las Aves, Ryder the Eagle, Tahiti 80, Grand Blanc, Voyou and Bumby.

Now there is a new name to add to this list. Electric Retro Spectrum.

On new single ‘Frontline’ trio manage to combine grunge, noise, heavy doom and psychedelia to create something refreshing and familiar. Electric Retro Spectrum doesn’t care what they play as long as its loud dark and fun. ‘Frontline’ is taken from the album Sub-Urban out on Stolen Body Records in 2019

  1. That is literally my idea of heaven “manage to combine grunge, noise, heavy doom and psychedelia to create something refreshing and familiar. ”

The reality is somewhat less impressive, maybe they’d be better live. They could well be infinitely better live, I’d definitely go see them and I’ll have to check out more of their stuff.
