John Grant used to be in The Czars and then released a well received debut album in 2010, given a sizeable leg up by Sinéad O’Connor recording a superb version of the title track, ‘Queen Of Denmark’. Well the man has now released his second effort, Pale Green Ghosts’ and, whilst it leans more away from folk and into electronic, it’s another set of well written and executed songs, with some clever and profound lyrics.
