Edinburgh-based Law Holt has released new track ‘Holy‘ ahead of her new EP out next month, debuting on Northern Transmissions. She combines subtle electronic beats and rich, powerful vocals to make her distinct style of R&B. ‘Holy‘ is more mellow and soothing than some of her other work, the melody being maintained by alternating piano chords and a metallic tick-tock beat.
Following the release of debut album City to much critical acclaim last August, Law Holt opened for Mykki Blanco on the rapper’s recent UK tour. Her hypnotic live performances leave audiences stunned and curious, utilising backing singers to create powerful choral vocals and simple, effective dance routines.
