NEWS: San Fermin announce new album ‘Belong’

Brooklyn-based San Fermin have revealed that their new album Belong will be out on 7th April via Interscope. The follow up to 2015’s Jackrabbit has been written and produced by band leader Ellis Ludwig-Leone, the record marks a shift in their songwriting style, with him writing from a personal perspective for the very first time. He confronts everything from disconnection to everyday anxiety, and said: “I don’t think writing actually fixes anything, but it helps you name the problem, figure out how to live with it, and sometimes that’s enough.”

The band have also shared a brand new single in the shape of ‘Open.’ Musically, it picks up where their last LP left off, reintroducing the voice of singer Charlene Kaye amongst gentle percussion and sweeping strings. Ludwig-Leone said that ‘Open’ is a “call from that little nagging voice telling you that you might be a bad person, or at least want bad things.” Listen below.
