NEWS: dust announce their debut EP, share new single ‘Ward 52’ and confirm UK and EU dates with Hockey Dad

Australian alt-punks dust make a glorious racket so the announcement of their debut EP is good news indeed. Titled, et cetera, etc it’s set for release on 29 March via Kanine Records. To accompany this news is the release of their latest single ‘Ward 52’. dust combine experimental jazz and electronica to create a sound which is fresh, raw and authentic. ‘Ward 52′ takes its theme from being confronted with your own mortality, and that shrieking saxophone is the perfect exponent of such an issue. The percussion gets more erratic as the track progresses.

Formed against the backdrop of the pandemic in 2020, the project of Awabakal land / Newcastle-based dual guitarist-vocalists Gabriel Stove and Justin Teale, bassist Liam Smith, guitarist and saxophonist Adam Ridgway, and drummer Kye Cherry, dust offer an invigorating new take on Australian post-punk.

Alongwith the news of the debut EP, dust has announced a string of dates in Australia, then across the UK and Europe with Hockey Dad. I’ll see you down the front.
