New Jersey’s Real Estate release their new album, entitled Days, for Domino on Monday October 17th 2011. Recorded in Upstate New York through the late winter/spring of 2011 with Kevin McMahon (The Walkmen, Titus Andronicus), download the taster track ‘It’s Real’ for FREE BELOW.
Apparently : Days is a gorgeous suite of timelessly melodic, achingly melancholy pop songs and a delightfully confident follow-up to 2009’s exceptionally well-received eponymous debut. Comprised of nine new recordings and a revisit of last year’s enduringly wonderful “Out of Tune” standalone single, Days is the next step in the career of a uniquely close songwriting collective that feel more important with their every release.

A single, the buoyantly beautiful “It’s Real”, will precede the album on October 10th. The single will be released on 7” and come backed with a new recording of “Blue Lebaron”.
In more news, the band, consisting of Martin Courtney, Matt Mondanile and Alex Bleeker, are currently on tour in the US breaking in the new material as well as two new live members, drummer Jackson Pollis and keyboardist/guitarist Jonah Maurer. The band will be returning to the UK in the autumn.
