A Manchester based music group of torture survivors Stone Flowers are running a crowdfunder campaign to raise funds to finish recording, mixing and mastering their album of original songs, in time for a launch event on International Human Rights Day in December. Since the start of the campaign they’ve raised 46% of the target amount and have appeared on Radio 1’s ‘War Children’.
“Recording their own album is a culmination of over two years’ work. It is a hugely important part of the process of raising awareness of refugees/asylum seekers and the music Stone Flowers has a real global flavour with an uplifting sound.”
“Stone Flowers raises awareness about refugees and asylum seekers and the violation of human rights. It enables the world to hear us and learn about us. It’s the only way to take out the pain inside us.” says Frank, Stone Flowers member.
