NEWS: Festival Congress 2015 programme announcement

Festival CongressTaking place between 5th and 6th November and featuring a golden platter of more than 50 guest speakers, Festival Congress is a must for anyone professionally involved in outdoor music events and those contemplating launching their own events. Launched by the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) in 2014, it is a chance to learn about the industry and be part of annual celebrations of festival culture from the comfort of the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

Confirmed guest speakers include organisers of Lovebox, Kendal Calling, Glastonbury, Liverpool Sound City and Shambala. BBC Radio DJ Huw Stephens and Bestival co-founder Rob Da Bank are also amongst the Illuminati joining this year’s lineup.

Topics of conversation will cover subjects such as the rise of metropolitan festivals, event curation, the future of the ticketing industry as well as an intriguing little soliloquy called ‘Creating The New World Order‘. Whatever that’s all about.

If all that’s not enough to whet your appetite, you can always look forward to the culinary delights of the street food dinner, drinks reception and afterparty, where you’ll get a chance to network and celebrate your favourite festival moments of 2015.
